Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment (Queensland)
What I did
Every 4 years, the Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment (OGIA), an independent body, reports on the impact of coal seam gas development on groundwater in the Surat region of western Queensland.
The findings of the research are published in the ‘Underground Water Impact Report for the Surat Cumulative Management Area’.
I copyedited the 2016 Underground Water Impact Report for the Surat (126 pages, >41,000 words excluding appendices), complying with the Commonwealth editorial style guide.
The findings inform Queensland law and, as such, the report is of interest to landholders, the state government, coal seam gas companies, politicians and the media.
