Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment (Queensland)
What I did
The ‘Condamine groundwater connectivity‘ [PDF, 6.2 MB] report summarises investigations into the flow of groundwater between 2 major geological formations in Australia’s Surat Basin—the Condamine Alluvium and the Walloon Coal Measures.
How the groundwater moves between these formations is important in the context of coal seam gas mining.
I copyedited the report (120 pages, >32,000 words excluding appendices), complying with the Commonwealth editorial style guide.
The report supports the 2016 Underground Water Impact Report for the Surat (also edited by me) which informs Queensland law and, as such, is of interest to landholders, the state government, coal seam gas companies, politicians and the media.
