Mdash Editorial is the writing and editing business of Mary O’Callaghan. I’m a science writer and an accredited editor.

Following  11 years as a senior science writer/editor with Australian science communication agency Econnect Communication, in 2016 I became an independent consultant.

Environmental science, natural resource management and human rights are my specialties though I can readily get my head around any topic in any field.

Communicating complex ideas to people who are not specialists is a skill I honed during my earlier career in software development.

Grad. Cert. in Arts (Writing, Editing and Publishing), The University of Queensland, 2005

From my base on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, I work with clients located all over the world. Rest assured, together we can do everything efficiently ‘over the wire’.
