CSIRO’s Gas Industry Social and Environmental Research Alliance (GISERA)
GISERA is a collaboration between the CSIRO, the Australian Government, state governments and the gas industry. It was established to do publicly-reported independent research.
What I did
I wrote the text for the 4-page fact sheet, Cattle, pastures and coal seam gas – a case study.
My source material was the CSIRO’s 50-page final report ‘Inside the Herd’.
Grazing is the most common agricultural land use in areas developed for coal seam gas (CSG) in Queensland. Scientists will investigate graziers’ concerns about the impacts of CSG traffic and infrastructure on soils, pastures and livestock.
